Over priced and over rated. I was lured into a special offer of £89 for a single night's B&B. In the end my bill, which also included dinner, came to nearly £250. I wouldn't have minded that for a 24 hour romantic break with my wife, but much of the experience was grim. The rooms are clean and acceptable, but standard hotel fare. I wanted to book a swim in the afternoon and the following morning, but wasn't allowed to do so until we checked in. We were then expected to book a swim and breakfast using a QR code on my phone. It didn't work. We wasted an hour of our break with failed technology, and didn't get a swim. We eventually ordered breakfast via reception. When it arrived, it wasn't what we ordered and most of it was inedible. Dinner at "The Pad" was very good and the staff efficient and attentive. The final straw was having to pay £18 to park. I have never paid to park at a hotel before. We shall never return.

5 Star Prices with 3 Star food Had a family meal in the Olive Tree. Dress code was described as smart casual, but a number of diners were in shorts and tee shirts. Buffet food was average - you would get better in a 3 star all inclusive package holiday. Beef on the carvery was over cooked and looked tough. Compared to a few year ago the standards have really gone down. Avoid.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit and stay! I have always wanted to visit the Celtic Manor and finally I have. It was a lovely little festive break which we needed full of relaxing and great food! It's such a magnificent place to visit I wish I'd gone years ago I can't wait to go back! 💖 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👏🏻

Absolutely loved our night here..early morning swim at 6am so barely anyone in the pool . It was bliss.. 5 stars from us.. 1st night away since March. Found it quite emotional . Stunning hotel like no other .

First visit to the Celtic Manor. It was a gift from our children to celebrate my wife's birthday. Outstanding resort, great restaurant choices. The service was excellent, especially in the Grill Restaurant. Staff very attentive and helpful, and food was really good. All staff throughout the resort, restaurant and Merlin's bar were fully Covid protected, which made us feel safe. Even the shuttle buses ferrying people to and from the various restaurants were masked up. All in all a really great experience, but the only negative thing I can say is that our room (706) was next to a room with adjoining doors, and the people in the adjoining room had a small baby. Through no fault of the baby, we could hear everything. Would definitely recommend the Celtic Manor, and will definitely return.
