Absolutely exceptional service. The electrics went out in the kitchen and we weren't guaranteed a meal that we'd booked. But everyone went about and beyond. We had had our meal in the end as everything came back on and it was absolutely wonderful. In a horrible situation for the staff they were all marvellous. Fabulous night ❤️

Great atmosphere, pleasant garden with a stream and delicious food with vegan options. I had a real ale here that had gone off but it's usually well kept.

I went there with my partner this evening as a birthday treat. A reservation was placed with the restaurant 3 days ago and my partner confirmed that a vegan menu was available. On arrival we were told no reservation had been made, there was a special St Dwynwen's day night and the restaurant was fully booked. The woman dealing with us essentially called us liars as we couldn't have booked because there would be a record of this. She had a very poor attitude, as if we would imagine our reservation, and my partner was extremely upset as this was a treat for me. Make sure you double check your reservation before you set out as you may have imagined it. Went on to enjoy a delicious Indian meal in Pontardawe at half the price. A narrow escape perhaps.

Destination pub, for excellent well cooked food and good honest flavours, well worth the travel. Service great and attentive, lighting a bit too bright. Best around for miles.
