Visited on Friday for a quiet pint and ended up having food. Staff were very polite and quickly found us a table. Food was reasonably priced and very good!

The food was outstanding, but you really need to work on your initial welcome when guests arrive and are being shown to the table. We gave the booking name and time of booking when we arrived, and were shown straight to the table. We were then approached whilst seated and told that we had booked for four not three, then a while later told it was two we had booked for. Then whilst eating our meal we were told that we had arrived for our meal too early . The whole experience was very uncomfortable, and we left as soon as we finished eating. At no point during the phone call to book the meal was I told we could not arrive early, and you were given the booking name and time of booking on our arrival it's not difficult to work out which customer you are serving even if you have three tables booked with the same surname. Poor show guys.

Just had a 12oz rump with pepper sauce and trimmings. Absolutely delicious. Sauce and chips best I've had in a long time. Steak was well cooked and melted in the mouth. Would definitely eat here again.

What can I say?? The meals at this pub are sooooo much value for money, not expensive at all. The fact that they are always so busy speaks for itself. Big shout out to Landlady Cally who works so hard to make this pub a success. Looking forward to the day when live entertainment can return and we can go down for a evening with the ladies, enjoying food & drinks at this welcoming place

Lovely food and lovely staff. Social distancing at tables was maintained and there were signs on the floor and screens at the bar. There was also alcohol gel on the walls with the appropriate signs. Very impressed.
