We visit the pub when we come down on holiday. A very friendly atmosphere & the food is lovely & good value. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been there before.

I had mega mixed grill good quality stunning meal my girlfriend had 16 oz rump steak meal all good i couldn't complain about the food but when I ordered food the staff member (women)struggled to alter ordder on till as I wanted pineapple with my mixed grill instead on mushrooms and onions rings because if there greasey I cant eat them but my girlfriend had them on her meal and they was OK i eat 2 onion rings lol anyway the women asked another staff member another women how to alter order on till she showed her and said why do the they have to be so awkward referring to me the customer she didn't realize i was still at bar waiting and I heard her This annoyed me because i pay for food so I get to choose what I eat on the menu with my money how is this awkward however she was polite and helpful when she brought the food out I didn't like the atmosphere and pub looked run down i will not visit again but food was good and price was good 👌 My rating is on the food only

Just been here for food. My daughters gammon was burnt. My gammon on my mixed grill wasn't cooked and tasted funny. After asking for bill and waiting ages whilst we could hear them slagging us off in kitchen. The owner came up to us. Grabbed a chair and turned it to face us. And said you got a problem! So I spoke to him and said as a owner of a pub. There is no way you should have even got a chair and turned it to face us and spoke to us the way you did. I will never eat in this place again. Shocking!!! Should not own a pub if this is the way you speak to customers

The staff are great and the food is excellent definitely a place to go with family looking forward to my next visit

Had a delicious meal at The Royal Oak and I am a fussy eater! The cheese and potato pie was the best I've ever tasted! Great prices too. Highly recommended.
