Poor Covid safe measures (close tables, people wandering around with no masks without challenge, empty hand gel, more than 4 people to a table etc), poor quality food and a general lack of cleanliness. Unfortunately, a lot of the punters were quite rowdy too and difficult for the staff to handle. I wouldn't go here for food again. I might come back for a drink in their beer garden but the less time I spend inside the better!

My son and I went to the Llangewydd arms yesterday for a bite to eat. In my 64 years on the planet I have never eaten such a substandard meal. I am angry with myself that I did not complain when there. I should have. I ordered the steak pie and asked if I could have a jacket porato rather than chips. No we don't do jacket potato I was told but I could have mash. I opted for the mash. When it arrived the pie was rock hard and I would suggest past it's sell by date. The contents were mostly gristle. The gravy was lumpy and absolutely tasteless the mash grey and flavourless. The peas were ok. My beer (marstons pedigree) was cloudy and again flavourless. My dog who was allowed in had a field day with the carpet suggesting that this could do with a good clean. I am posting this as a warnibg to potential customers and a heads up to the Brains company who I believe own the chain to please SORT THIS OUT! If I could give it no stars I would.

Well thought let’s try the breakie. Arrived. Sat down and was ignored for 24 mins. Then ordered and waited 56 mins for my food. Only handful of people in the place not busy £6 + for med size £1.50 for black pud 1 slice £2.10 for coffee Food arrived. And sausages nice eggs clean tidy. Bacon however was burnt to hell and two slices were about 2 inches long and wafer thin. Fair play they did give me a free coffee. So not cheap not good but after this experience this is my first and last time eating at this establishment One poor lady working the bar area on her own. Hate to think what it would be like if there was 20 customers.
