We have just returned from a two night stay at this beautiful cottage and are already checking the calendar for when we can return. Cottage is tastefully decorated with quality furnishings. The king size bed is extremely comfortable with lovely high quality bedding. Very spacious property. Free quick wifi. Spotlessly clean. French doors open out on to a large garden where the free roaming chickens run up to the fence to greet you each morning. Spacious bathroom with large shower cubicle with power shower was great. The welcome pack left for us was an appreciated surprise and was very generous with milk, bread, butter, jam and cereals - plenty of tea and coffee plus hot chocolate which was great as we had forgotten to grab the essentials! Plus we had an home made lemon drizzle cake which was so scrummy 😄 You could easily rustle a meal up in the kitchen as it is well stocked with every utensil needed. We didn't bother though and had take away delivered to the cottage. Icing on the cake is the virtually new eight seater hot tub with coloured lighting which is just for the use of the cottage. This hot tub was one of the best we have seen and was extremely clean. There is another two bed cottage on site so you could bring friends and have both cottages so you can all make use of the hot tub. There is outside BBQ plus table and seats round the hot tub. Plastic wine glasses and plates are also supplied for drinking and eating in the outside area. Everything has been thought of and is to such a high standard. We felt extremely spoilt staying here and thought it incredible value for money and if you get the opportunity to stay grab it with both hands. We got a taxi in to Lincoln so we could eat and drink on our second day and not worry about driving. It was just under a tenner each way and was well worth it. You can also bus it or do the train. Lincoln was just lovely and we want to return. We did the Lincoln cathedral, steep hill and all the quirky quaint shopping areas plus we walked down to Bradford waterfront where there's numerous bars and restaurants. Would recommend the barge for cocktails and the fifth floor Electric bar in the Hilton hotel opposite the barge. Lovely sitting on the balcony overlooking the canal. Just go ! 😉
