What a delight! Gower isn't the easiest of places to find pubs so it was a real treat to find this one, open and welcoming on August Bank Holiday Tuesday. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the building had been prepared with anti Covid measures in an effective but efficient way. We sat inside ( the bar had been recently modernised in an attractive way which hadn't obliterated the character of the pub) but outside there was also a marquee and a beautifully constructed wooden area where a large family could sit in the sunshine. The choice of food on offer was large and varied, and I particularly enjoyed the local cockles! I then had the fish and chips ( delicious) while my husband and son both thoroughly enjoyed the lamb burgers. The puddings were excellent too. I liked the way all portions were generous but not over big, so that we left satisfied but not bloated! Even more importantly, the beer was too notch. I would definitely recommend The Welcome and look forward to returning again soon.

Free Car park available, good quality food and friendly staff, would advise to book if you would like table inside, although there is outside seating with marquee so you can just turn up. Fast service, Family friendly,Dogs welcome. Lovely old style Gower building. Prices are reasonable for quality and amount of food. Fresh local ingredients used.

Excellent Saturday lunch, fish and lovely hand cut chips, and chicken and coconut curry. Both delicious and good value. Lovely old pub with modern interior and friendly staff. Well worth checking out.

Wonderful staff, spotlessly clean lovely location. Recommending without hesitation. Food excellent - grills, pizzas, specials. You won't go wrong. Kids and dogs welcome. Parking a problem during busy times, but plenty of space in the village
