Seems a strange comment to make about a hospital but today I had a amazing experience when I went for my surgical procedure.
From being greeted on arrival to my departure the staff were absolutely brilliant, I was very nervous about having a general anaesthetic but I was put at ease immediately both by the very professional staff and Prof McCarthy who performed the surgery.
Everything went remarkably smoothly, without realising it I went to sleep and before I knew it I was in recovery.

I had surgery few days ago and the staff were brilliant and very helpful. Due to covid 19, you are not allowed to have family visit you. But the staff make sure I feel welcome and not scared after I wake up.
The room were cleaned and staff always come in to make sure if I needed anything. They made my stay very comfortable and make sure that I take my medicines in time. Would recommend this hospital
Twice lost a covid test in 24 hours which resulted in an operation being cancelled hours before it was due to take place! Absolutely poor handling and pathetic service for a 'private' hospital. If Nuffield can't handle a covid test, I wonder how they would handle an operation and their patients!

I would just like to say huge thank you to my surgeon Mr Mark markcarthy and my amazing nurse kayleigh and student nurse Amy for looking after me all the staff here at Nutfield make you feel so relaxed I had vascular surgery on both legs and with general anaesthetic and came around from it so good thank you once again you really did look after me far and beyond I would highly recommend you patient Mrs dawn Jenkins xx
I am appalled by the rude/appalling service I received from the receptionist called claire.
1. When I first arrived there was no welcome she was chatting to the other colleage whilst I was standing there for 5 mins! I had to ask for help
2. There is glass screen in front of the receptionist desk so she immediately said STEP BACK I was 4 meters away! But then when she came to give the forms she was less than 1 metre away(what happen to the 2metre)
3. I was going to have minor surgery my dad was there as a chapparone as I couldn’t walk after. They refused my dad and said he has to wait in the car. Then another family of 2 came after me and they let them in! When I questioned this why are there different rules for different people she said it’s confidential!
I am a private paying px. I usually go to spire hospital however I will never return to this hospital it was the first and last experience. This rude lady should be sacked
