The Duston Cemetery has entrance gates on both Berrywood Road and Westfield Road and is the responsibility of Northampton Borough Council. Historically, Berrywood Road preserves the line of a Roman road between Duston and Whilton Lodge. The Roman settlement at Duston was largely destroyed by quarrying in the 19th century. Scattered prehistoric and Roman finds have been recorded from the allotments adjacent to the cemetry and the area around the site.
