A really wonderful gem of a cemetery! Located just by Leyton station on the central line and in a quiet residential area, it’s easily accessible and well kept.
It appears to be divided in to certain areas a some parts are well kept and others have been left to become over grown, which I actually really enjoy!
Some unusual stones and structures which are quite interesting and I’d like to know more about them.
Good clear paths and generally peaceful with few other people in there...except for the buried of course!
Worth a little wonder if you’re in the area.

Very special place to pray and remember our beloved deceased in East London. It is the historical Catholic cemetery under strict observance of Catholic priests. The Traditional Holy Masses for the deceased are being celebrated in the nearby little chapel. I spent the whole day exploring the monuments and praying. Many outstanding priests, bishops and common people from the past centuries and nowadays are resting here. The love to them, expressed in many different ways goes through centuries. Past and present, life and death intermingle listening to the sounds of the swiftly passing by trains and seeing the people, hurrying occupied by their daily problems. Seemed, that I was on the threshold of something really big and mysterious!...
John and team are the most helpful people.
Wonderful cemetery. The older graves needs try up. A wonderful yet sad place to visit. Many religious statutes jesus carrying the cross and the virgin Mary. I have visited other cemeteries in London and I quite enjoy this one. There are many large expensive marble gravestones for well off families.
A magical world of marvellous statuary, both religious and classical. Such an enchanting venue for a burial ground, the surroundings lift the spirit in times of sorrow.
