Only one GP who is on extended leave therefore be prepared to be seen by locums who don't know you. Limited days of the week for the nurse as it's a small practice. Won't make appointments for you elsewhere and will give you a number to call yourself. Best to find a practice which isn't run by one (absent) GP who's limited to one word answers and no detailed observations or examinations. Switching asap to Claremont Clinic.
Areas for improvement
Minimise locums by having a permanent GP present.
Inprove communication when communicating with patients providing a personalised service and not just printing material available online.
Receptionists to stick to their word in making appointments accurately and not just sending patients away to make appointments using out of hours. Acknowledge that you can only provide a part time service and when hospital discharge letters advise daily redressing that it is the responsibility of the GP practice to provide that support and not just make excuses and turn patients away.
Yesterday and the day before yesterday I visited the birchdale road medical centre and I noticed that the staff overall is very polite, supporative and cooperative specially the recipitionist “ Amrita”. In my veiw she gave me the best customer service I have ever received.She tried her best to help as she can and I was really impressed by her polite and cooperative behaviour.
