I would recommend work the world to anyone studying in healthcare and interested in experience abroad! I did not like the idea of traveling alone and work the world was the perfect option for me since you live in a house with a lot of other students and everything is so well arranged (airport pick-up, arranged meals). I made a lot of friends, had a lot of fun exploring beautiful Tanzania and learned a lot working in hospitals there.

I had an amazing time with work the world in Peru! I’m a medical student who did a 4 week placement in Peru, and had the time of my life. Everything was very well arranged, before and during my stay there. The internship was very fun and I learned a lot. The Peruvian interns really helped me and made me feel at home. The other students in the work the world house were so much fun, we took a bunch of different trips together and organized a lot of fun activity’s. Thanks for the great time in Peru!

I spend 2 weeks in Iloilo at the physio department and this has been such an overwhelming experience. As a physio intern, you get to see a lot of different things, which is super interesting! From pediatrics to OR, everything is covered. The staff, from both WTW as in the hospital itself, were the most genuine, kind and helpful people I’ve ever met and I’m so grateful for everything they do. This internship has really been one of the best things I did so far and I genuinely believe this experience has contributed to becoming a better physiotherapist. If you get the change to do so, please go and experience for yourself, you won’t regret it.

I highly recommend this organisation to all medical students that are interested in going abroad. I had a great time in Peru, it was an unforgettable experience that gave me the chance to learn a lot about the Peruvian culture and the way they treat patients there. Everything was very well organised, from hospital placement to sleeping arrangements and food. In the weekends I had time for travelling and discovering the beautiful country, together with the new amazing friends I made in the Work the World house.

Work the world offers well organised medical internships abroad. The accomodation, food and security were good in Sri Lanka (Kandy). The hospital was close to our accomodation and the medical staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend to extend the internship with the 'village week' for a great experience!
