Watkins Glen is such a fun place to visit. The vineyards, Seneca Lake and the cute town of Watkins Glen give you so much variety during your stay. Did I mention the absolutely breathtaking gorge trail at Watkins Glen State Park? Always a highlight for us! We very much enjoy this KOA with incredible facilities for the whole family. We enjoy their indoor heated pool in the Fall and outdoor swimming pool, and water slides in the summer. This has become a summer stop every year.

This campground is definitely more for the large Motorhome users who enjoy camping with lots of lights on and exterior flat screen TVs. Not much shade & the sites are very close to each other. The cabins are over on the edge of the woods & look more private. There was a train passing one morning and it’s just across from the racetrack so we got to enjoy the sounds of that all day Saturday. On the plus side it’s a great place to park a camper during the day.

I would classify this place as “OK.” Most RV sites are out in the open, which means during the summer you’re A/C is working overtime. I liked the concrete pads, but most sites are so incredibly close together that you don’t have much privacy. Many sites are pull-thrus which are easy to get in and out of, but the handful of back-in sites can be challenging backing into. The campground doesn’t look special and due to COVID certain activities weren’t available (not the campground’s fault). There were enough cable stations, but the Wi-Fi was non-existent. The real draw to this place is its proximity to Watkins Glen.

Not a great place for tent campers, registered for a grass pad and got a gravel pad. I could roast marshmallows on my neighbors fire without leaving my site, on the road, lots of noise and no shade. On the upside they did fully refund my deposit because we canceled within an hour of arrival. So because of the outstanding customer service I would have given a four star review. I'm sure if you are in an RV this is a great place for kids. It is not a great place for tent camping.

Family and kids enjoyed the campground a lot. Families were very kind, nice and friendly..... It would be more fun if all the activities for kids were open, but that's covid's fault I presume. Would recommend this campground.
