Splendid Golden Rocks Resort

The place could use a re-vamp, as it was a little run down. A lot of the facilities were dated or in a fairly poor state of repair. We paid extra for a sea view, and arrived to find the trees in front of the balcony had overgrown and blocked the view almost entirely.

Excellent time

As many other medium quality resort in Hrvatska, this one gives some good aspects that make us think: what a special holiday! One of the main quality is -of course- the unique waters. In every beach we have visited, also in the past years, we were always astonished by the clean and transparent green sea water. Another good point is the pine forest all around. From the sea you cannot see the resort buildings, Just to say how dense are the trees. And the smell of pine resin everywhere brings me to a state of ancient holidays in Liguria...

The view and the place are quite nice but we had some bad experiences. First of all we paid an extra for a parc view. Our terrace was under the main floor so we didn't have what we paid for. When we came to the flat we didn't had enough towels for each of us, we had to call the reception to ask for more towels. In the hall of our flat there was big rain infiltrations and nothing has been repaired. What can we say about the supermarket. Very expensive prices (a bit more than 4€ for some Pringles, 20€ for dryed sausage...) And the girl from the supermarket's staff is really agressive and not friendly at all. One day, we tried to eat in the restaurant close to the supermarket and 5 of us were sick after. Do not eat there. When we ate at the restaurant close to the pool, the staff was really nice with us. The food is not expensive and we were not sick there. The only thing was there was no security to tell a group of tourists to stop making noise and put some music while we were eating alongside of families... Another bad experience ? Yes. We bought laundry coins at the supermarket to make our washing machines. I asked the girl (yes, the same girl once again) if we needed something else to make our machine. She told us "no, just put the coin and you'll have water and soap". False, we only had water. 8€ throw away.. So if I have to resume, thanks to the staff of the restaurant close to the pool. They were really nice and with the view, there were the only two positives things on this hotel. I'll never go back there and please, think twice before to book a room / appartment there.
