Ozalj

Beautiful and well preserved. In my opinion best to visit in autumn when forest surrounding it is rich in colors, and the place is very peaceful, only sound of forest, river and local church rings a bell at full hour. Very charming

The medieval town of Ozalj, located on the cliff above the river Kupa, offers a wonderful trip to the past. Near is the bigger town of Karlovac and it's also very near is the Slovenian border. On a hill dominated by a beautiful castle. The castle is very interesting and important historically. We were the only visitors and we enjoyed the beauty of the castle. We asked for a guide to open the tower from where it has a magnificent view of the river Kupa and the surrounding hills. Also, the view of the castle from the outside is impressive. In the castle is located the Heritage Museum which was founded in 1971. Worth to visit.

Beatiful scenery. A must see green jewel of Croatia!! :)
