Famous temple in Malappuram district.Also one of the oldest. A huge pond is near to this temple, its area is about 2.5 acre. This pond is one of the water bank in Ponmala.

Ponmala Maha siva Temple... Old as the history of ponmala.nGod siva as main diety. Known for the size of its sreekovil and pond.nOther gods : ganapathi, muruka, ayyappa.nCelebrates siva rathri, Aghanda naama japa yaknjam and all other major days in the hindu calendar.

The siva temple is away from rush of city .nCool and calm place, the temple owns around 5 acres of land it contains a very huge pond in it.
