Lumberton / I-95 KOA Journey

Great place to stay! We were in a bind, couldn’t find a park with vacancies & thankfully came upon this KOA. Sherry was amazing, got us a level site w/patio, worked it so we could stay in the same site for multiple days & nights! Everything we needed & greatly reduced our stress! Highly recommend!

This is a great KOA Journey when traveling through the area. The campgrounds are well maintained, the staff are friendly, and the sites are well laid out. The campground is very basic as it's meant for travelers but still perfectly comfortable for a get away vacation as well. The pool was clean and accessible and the K9Kamp dog area were clean. The camp store is small but clean and stocked well. All the staff members we interacted with were friendly. The restrooms and showers in the pavilion were accessible to any ability. We had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. There is road noise due to the proximity to I95 but if it bothers you a white noise machine would easily cover it up. It wasn't awful but it was there and may bother some campers. We were there for Memorial Day weekend and had a great, quiet weekend at the campground.

We were here for 2 weeks as we worked in the area. Though there isn't much off of this exit, it still is a convenient stop along the 95.nnThe new owners are very attentive and do a great job keeping up with the campground. We were in their newer patio sites which were level with convenient hookups! The kids really enjoyed the little playground, and especially loved the bowling, checkers, & cornhole that were available in the office.nnTheir bathhouse is clean and kept up as well.nnThe sites for longer campers can fill up quickly, so be sure to reserve your spot if you know you'll be headed that way!nnOur ONLY complaint is the amount a bundle of wood cost us. That was a bit of a bummer.nnOverall, we would stay again!

We loved Lumberton KOA. They are wonderfully family friendly, have great dog parks, beautiful scenery! We were sad to leave! We spent 3 months here!
