The second largest dome in India (after the Bijapur dome), was made in the Indo Saracenic design by British architects. It originally housed the Baroda College, which later became the Faculty of Arts of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, and continues to be that till date. It is a privilege to have studied or taught here! It is majestic. The interior of the dome, specially the painted roof, still retains its color and pattern despite the ravages of time. A heritage site indeed: hope it is preserved and restored to its original stature. An iconic piece of architecture and a world of memories for many, it is a must visit place on a trip to Vadodara ( Baroda).

It is good institution having good infrastructure in a beautiful vast mangrove area specially well known for the Bunyan trees growing there. The architecture and design of the buildings is unique and antique.
