The institute excels in the studies of mining and related fields. It has created many national gems across India in the mining sector. Many of the students are now at prestigious positions in the mining sector of India. Now, they are leading the mining sector of India towards a new future by working at big ranks with big mining companies.

College is having first class infrastructure but the only problem is, as of now there is only one permanent professor and he is the Principal. College has a crisis of faculties from very long time. Jharkhand Government should focus on the recruitment of the faculties in all the Institute, whether its Polytechnic or Engineering. Almost all the Institute in Jharkhand have this problem. The lack of faculties not only results in the poor performance of the students but also lack of discipline in the Institute.nThe road that connects to this Polytechnic Institute is also not been prepared since the college was formed. So, overall Jharkhand should also focus on the Institute and nearby areas and road connecting to the Institute.
