This temple is basically a goddess Durga temple...Maa mohamaya is another avatar of Devi Durga...So i'm going to share two folklore about the origin of this temple...once upon a time there was a poor man who worked in the forest of this hill..one day suddenly this man saw a light coming from the dense forest...then he saw Shiv and Parvati there...and then he established a temple in the top of the hill...now this is called BURUJ ....Again the another story behind the origin of the temple is that once upon a time there were two Brahmana who left there family and moved around the places....one day they reach This place and then one brahman started to worshippe and the other one strted to cook the prasad...This ritual has been following from that time till now... Moreover this place is calm and mighty....transport is also good from every part of assam....During Durga Puja "Bali puja" also practised here....Jai maa mohamaya🙏🙏
