An old historical places. It is associated with the Ahom kingdom. The pond "rangati pukuhuri" has lots of old stories associated with. In some early days ( we can assume the early 19th century) the pond was related with a chklang marriage ceremony. Some said that they offered "Pan Tamul " as a blessing for the marriage and they will get some golden utensils in the next morning for the marriage ceremony which they return to the pond after the ceremony is over. Some says that they have seen a golden boat too sometimes. Some more stories are still associated with the place . *Specialties about the place now a days is, **its pretty calm place and you will watch lots of migratory birds in the winter. ** If you are lucky you will watch turtles also .
