Baijnath (Vaidyanath) group of temples was built by the Katyuri rulers from 9th to 12th century in Kumaon division of Uttarakhand, in which the main temple is dedicated to Shiva, besides 17 other temples are dedicated to other deities.nThe main temple has a huge stalwart statue of Goddess Parvati made of cyst stone. The temple is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India Department of Uttarakhand. The Gomti River adjoins the temple group flows.
