Welcome to Chemical Engineering !!nnChemical engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with chemical production and the manufacture of products through chemical processes. This includes designingequipment, systems and processes for refining raw materials and for mixing, compounding and processing chemicals to make valuable products.nnGeorge E. Davis, an English engineer, is credited with founding the field of chemical engineering in the late 19th century.nnAbout the Department:nnChemical engineers apply the principles of chemistry, biology, physics and math to solve problems that involve the production or use of chemicals, fuel, drugs, food and many other products.nnChemical engineering branch started in 2008 in L.E. College Morbi with intake 60 students. During early stage two faculty members were posted to look after teaching and administrative work of chemical engineering dept. Presently 8 teaching staff and 4 non-teaching staff are in the department and 4 labs are in the department. New building for chemical engineering department will be available soon So far 3 batches have been passed out.nnVision:nnTo emerge and to be known as hub of excellence in Chemical Engineering and Technology for the current needs and future development through teaching-learning, research, innovations, knowledge sharing while protecting the environmental and human values.nnMission:nnTo create competent Chemical Engineering Professionals to cater to the contemporary needs of the industry and profession for the betterment of the society and environment. Develop students as outstanding chemical engineering professionals and enable them to take up any challenge with highest ethical standards. The students and the faculties should be able to contribute to the society by improving quality of life with ethics and values.
