Mechanical Engineering department was established in 1951 with 60 students intake each year. There are 2 Professors, 2 Associate Professors and 15 Assistant Professors in Mechanical Engineering Department.nnThe Department has well equipped Thermal Engineering, Dynamics, Hydraulics, workshop, Metrology, Metallurgy, Automobile, Refrigeration & Air - Conditioning, Alternate sources of Energy, Heat transfer and Computer laboratories.nnA separate computer centre with TV and Audio visual aids is available. Recently department purchase CREO software (Design and Modeling software). Under TEQIP-ll project, Department purchase various laboratory equipments and software.nnVISIONnnTo deliver quality engineering education for Mechanical Engineers with Professional competency, Human values and Acceptability in the society.nnMISSIONnnTo nurture engineers with basic and advance mechanical engineering conceptsnTo impart Techno-Managerial skill in students to meet global engineering challengesnTo create ethical engineers who can contribute for sustainable development of societynProgram Educational Objectives(PEOs)nnApply their knowledge of basic science and engineering to analyze and solve problems related to mechanical engineering.nAble to design and develop the new system/process using advanced technologies and tools.nEnhance professional practice to meet global challenges with their ethical and social responsibility.nProgram Specific Outcomes (PSOs)nnStudents will be able to apply the knowledge of computer aided tools for design and development of products based on engineering principles.nStudents will be able to manage production of components/systems using conventional and advanced manufacturing methods.
