Banmata is kuldevi of Rane family from Janavli, Kankavli, Sindhudurg, Maharashtra. I have researched on the kuldevi of this family and even if it’s mentioned in one book “ ranyanche dakhshinet aagaman” by Ramesh G Rane, that Rane kuldevi is Maheshwari devi, I could not find anything supporting that theory. Considering the Rane clan are descendants of bappa rawal and his kuldevi was banmata, it is safe to assume that banmata is kuldevi of Rane clan of Janavli. There are some knowledgeable people from Janavli who travelled to Rajasthan to find the Maheshwari devi temple but no concrete evidence or temple found till date. Also the priest in Banmata temple claimed that Rane families from all over Maharashtra come to that temple as she is their Kuldevi. Hence my request to all Rane family connected to Janavli should consider Banmata as their kuldevi and worship her to give her blessings on their families as she has been doing so since Bappa Rawal’s time ud83dude4fud83cudffb

Respected place of Sisodiya vansh.. kuldevi mata of Sisodiya kul... Everyone should visit this Temple once in their life . So much peace and very beautiful is this place ...have blissful feeling ........no place can compete this place in peacefulness....... place is in rajsthan .....place is near from udaipur.....it is 117km away from udaipur.....it lis near from chittordgharh.......... everything is everyone once visit this place .....eklingaji is respected for Sisodiya vansh .....so Sisodiya vanshaj also visit eklingaji once in their life....do visit this place....

It is in a village attached to Chittorgarh fort. It is an very old temple. The idols of baan mata and annpoorna mata are amazing, it feels like that the idol itself is looking at you. Forgot to click the picture, may be that's what mataji wanted.nThere is very less parking space so mind your car parking if you head there
