We were on a tour of the Redwoods and this was our place to stay near Prairie Creek. Great location in the meadow where a local herd of elk congregate and less than a 20 minute drive to Prairie Creek Hikes, Trinidad, and Patrick’s Point.nnSites are deep for larger rigs and the full hook ups can’t be beat. Even though it’s in an open meadow, there is a large amount of personal space and it was a great place for us to relax after hiking.

Nice place to camp. We have been driving by for years but never stopped. Great people trails with a little lake nestled among the trees... pure bliss.

Have been there twice over the past two years. Great place for full hook up and tent camping. The elk visited pretty regularly this past trip and the prices are not expensive for the beautiful meadow or trees campsites.

Loved this place! Nice open field campground is perfect for watching herd of elks come out from the trees as they go for the feeding frenzy. This campground is next to highway 101 so there is a little bit of traffic noise but not big deal. This campground is also within minutes of driving distance to the Prairie and 35 minutes to Fern Canyon.
