Native place of Maa Manila Devi. Kumaon region of Uttarakhand state. At an altitude of 1820 Mtrs. Manila Devi Temple is one of the very famous temple of Uttarakhand which is mentioned in various folk songs.nnTemple is dedicated to Mother Goddess and the place is named Manila after the temple.nnThere used to be 3 very old temples here out of which one has been rebuilt again and again and which is the main temple. Other are two small white temples.nnIt is said that if u take your head inside these two temples, you can hear some distant sounds of drums (Interestingly, yes I tried )nnOne part is dedicated to Folk Gods of Kumaon.nnThe most recent development : an eco park is set up behind the temple.nnNOTE : PLEASE KEEP MOUNTAINS CLEAN. DO NOT LITTER. DO NOT THROW PLASTIC EVERYWHERE.

Beautiful Temple of Manila Devi. Neat and clean compound. Pujari ji is also very good. Must visit if you visit Jim Corbett National Park. Just 80 K.M.(approximately) from Jim Corbett.
