Har Har MahadevnLord Shiva is considered to be one of the three Hindu Trinity elements which are responsible for the working of our universe. The Creator- Lord Brahma. The Protector- Lord Vishnu and the Supreme Being called Lord Shiva. He is one of the main deities of Hinduism that is worshipped as a paramount by one and all. Lord Shiva is also known as the most generous on one hand but also the ghastliest and destructive form of the almighty that has the supreme power to create and destroy everything. But more than destruction he is responsible for maintaining the essence of life.nnWhat are the responsibilities of Lord Shiva?nnThe devotees of Lord Shiva believe that he has two personalities. The first one being the Mahakaal which destroys and dissolves one and all into nothingness. The Mahakal is said to be the most dangerous role of Lord Shiva. The other being Shankara which reproduces everything that was once dissolved and vanished completely. The symbol called, Lingam represents his supreme power of re-creation.nnAppearances and Attributes of the mighty lordnnLord Shiva has innumerable names which give a count of his loving and calm filled nature, but people usually remember him by the name of Mahadev which means God of all. He is said to contain the evil and righteousness both within himself along with having the power to change the low of destiny for anything or everything.nHe is said to either in meditating for or in the form of Natraj- the Dancing God. His meditating composure reflects his peaceful, loving and giving nature whereas the Natraj means destruction.nLord Shiva is said to be the only one who has the third eye which gives him the insight of everything going on in the world while sitting in the Himalayas. It is said that when the third eye is opened, it indicates evil over good which needs to vanish.nShiva and ShaktinnLord Shiva is said to be inseparable from his other half- the daughter of Himavan-Haimavati Goddess Parvati.nShiva cannot exist without Shakti and Shakti cannot live without Shiva. The two can never be separated or differentiated. This also indicated the absolute state of being, the ideal way of living. This is to give human beings the importance of man and woman and their holy relationship as husband and wife. They have two sons together- Lord Ganesha and Kartikeya. They live on Kailash Mountain in the Himalayas where the family has and will live until the end.
