Awesome camp site for those looking for a nice, but often cold camping experience. Snow during the Spring is quite a welcome surprise. Definitely worth a re-visit!!nnDefinitely pack warm clothes! ud83dudc4dud83cudffe

We didn’t know much about this park, but the visitor center was super nice and informative. We didn’t realize how much snow the park gets so visiting in May the number of trails open was limited. Will definitely be coming back to do more hiking. The manzanita campground was great to tent camp at.

Great view of the volcano and other mountains from the visitor center. Check the weather and road conditions before you star your trip. The park might close some roads because of the snow. There are some sulfur pools and a pretty river.

Visited this place on Christmas Eve. It was filled with snow! The lake was frozen, so got to witness some beautiful views! Parking was not an issue. The drive to this park was also beautiful! Well maintained! Every one were following protocols of maintaining distance and wearing masks! If I get a chance to visit again, I definitely would! :)

I camped in my tent in the parking lot. Some people followed directions and camped on the snow. The wifi was strong at the visitors center 24/7. You could use the restrooms there also through the night. A nice 1 mile walk to sulfur works was well worth it. Take sunglasses because the snow is bright. Enjoy the green snow and bubbling pools of gray mud. Very pleasant sulfur smell in the air. The snow blocked the road beyond a mile and I didn't go further due to my time constraints. Need snow shoes or skis to travel anywhere except up the road to sulfur works. Only $10 to camp! In mineral I had to shop for a tarp which they had essential camping stuff like tents and groceries. You can get water at the restaurant. Brandy is super nice. They have cute gifts there and the food was yummy. Definitely a must stop by and say hi!
