The Vadia Palace building itself houses the GFRC, Govt. Ayurvedic Collage and some Forest Dept.Offices; while the palace compound is shared by Forest Dept.staff quarters, nurseries, offices, playground, hostel, guesthouses; Ayurvedc / Botanical garden and hospital,Agricultural Dept.'s soil testing laboratory, as well as many other Govt. staff residential quarters.nThe old vadia village was situated here, which was shifted some one km. north to this place to build a new palace for the Rajpipla Royalty. Built in mid - Ninteen Forties in the middle of a 90 acres plot of land, the Vadia palace has imported Italian Marble flooring in general and ceramic mosaic flooring on its vast tarrace;fixed by Rajashani stone-masons. The Ball Room has parquet flooring.nAlmost all the rooms, including the wash rooms and the vestibules has fine paintings on all walls. Some large rooms also has fresco paintings on its ceilings. All the paintings were done by a German POW held by the British during the second world war and jailed in the British India. The Rajpipla Maharaja stood guarantee for him and brought him to decorate his newly built palace with his art / skills.nThe huge doors, windows and the ventilators are made of Burma Teak and has Godrej locks. The Parliamentary Hinges and stoppers used for the doors and window shutters and unique ventilator openers are made of brass and were provided by the Jayant Metal Industries of Bombay.nIts three porches has beautifully carved white marble 'Jaalis'.nThe huge semi-basement type (Royal)kitchen outside the palace building is connected to the palace by an underground corridor.
