This is very big situated near main church Civil lines allahabad old beautiful historical building made at British time ,location is excellent in all aspects near to high Court, railway station , bus stand , and from all major government offices of uttar Pradesh government earlier it was very crowded when any competitive exams forms were selling now a days most of the works are done by on line so less crowd now a days again this is very beautiful office

I have come across Head post office Allahabad many times as this office is near to my School. I have visited for two different reasons. This post office also have the department for Passport Verification Center. Post Office also organise some of the competition like essay writing , photography (on every Independence Day) , e.t.c.nIt also have Post Office Saving Bank and India Post Payment bank .nPost office provide special Post service during Raksha Bandhan for Our Army and Military.nOffice includes large Infrastructure with the theme paint of Red and White.nHead Post office (for Post Card)completes its 150 years long journey on 2019.

Here employees are not supportive as when I went here on 30th, they didn't accept the parcel for bookingnThen sent me back without bookingnWhen I went today for the speed post purpose, there were staff who was dumb, asking for a change while he was already having change and I am sure about this as I had to go inside the counter for booking due to large size of parcel
