Kauleshwari Mandir Gidhour

Kauleshwari Devi Mandir is located on the top of a hill at a height of about the 1600 feet. The temple attracts devotees from the surrounding areas of Chatra. From the top of the hill an excellent view of hills and forest can be seen. The top of the hill is quite distinctive and is known as ” Akash Lochan”(Sky Eye). There are some ancient temples, the most important of which is a temple of ‘ Kali’ known as ‘Kauleshwari Devi’. Various religious ceremonies are held in the temple premises. On the top of the hill there is a small pond which is a surprising element but is regarded as sacred by the devotees.
