Muscatel Himalayan Resort

The location is ideal - 5 minutes from Club Side Taxi Stand and Mall, but a bit uphill so you get enough peace and quiet. The uphill climb isn't very easy for older people, but is totally worth it. The view from the deck is amazing, it is accessible to everyone. The garden was gorgeous too. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The manager and the staff were extremely helpful and kind. I would highly recommend Muscatel to everyone.

Superb amenities and services. We had booked a suite and a deluxe room but got upgraded to 2 suites which were absolutely splendid! The rooms are magnificent and offers a royal feel. The icing on the cake is their skydeck which offers a magical view of the landscape (when the weather is clear). The staff were super nice and helpful.nnThe only one downside of this resort is the 5 minute uphill walk from the main road to get to it. Not suitable for seniors or people with breathing difficulties. The road is wide enough for exactly one vehicle, so there were occasions when we were stuck for a long time due to other vehicles blocking our way out. However, kudos to the amazing people of Darjeeling who always seemed to find an amicable solution to any snarl.

25 year after I went Darjeeling, what a hotel, just for excellent, Lovely ambience, excellent facilities.. All staff was very courteous and humble. The rooms are made of pure wood, very clean every hotel corner. hotel restaurant also very very good.nAgain I will visit this hotel with my family.

As soon as we entered we were greeted by the staff. The rooms were sanitised. Loved every bit of our stay. The staff was very co-operative.nMust try - Suit (Room No. 201)nCon - No lift.nPros - Apart from everything else; the entire staff was female.

Good Property with good hosts and great room service. They are apt and instant (I was Surprised!!!) Rooms are good.nThe only difficulty is the walk or drive for new drivers since its little uphill and congested parking. Its above Sinclairs. The property is away from the traffic noises and people hence one who want to stay in peace can do so in this hotel. It has a beautiful Sundeck and lounge to chill n relax on sunny days.
