I would like to tell history behind Mansa devi Templeud83dude07ud83dude07ud83dude07nThe legend says that when Lord Bramha created universe, he meant for Lord Shiva to be with Sati. Sati was the daughter of Bramha’s son Daksha. She married Shiva against his wishes.ud83dude07nDaksha performed a yajna and didn’t inivite Shiva and Sati. Unable to tolerate the injustice her father was doing towards her husband, in anger Sati sacrificed her life by jumping into the fire of the yajna.nAfter this incident Shiva was enraged and in his Veerabhadra avatar he cut off Daksha’s head. Later he replaced it with goat’s head.nud83dude04ud83dude04ud83dude04nHeartbroken Shiva picked up Sati’s body and started performing Tandava, the dance of death and destruction. Fearing his rage, Vishnu used his Sudarshan Chakra and cut through Sati’s body. The body was cut into 108 parts and fell all over the earth. The head is said to behave fallen at Panchkula.ud83dude07ud83dude07ud83dude07
