Parakkattu Temple

Not sure how to review a temple, it's not like I can evaluate their services. However, I'd like to start off by telling you that this temple is truly secular. There was a point of time at which devotees irrespective of caste or religion could come here and offer their prayers. Not just that, the folks who work here used to encourage it.nnThere was once even a news paper article showing a Muslim family doing a Pooja here. I'm not sure if the current management still encourages this though.nnAnother perk of this temple is that, the festival is almost always on the Christmas - new year time. So the fireworks and stuff adds to the Christmas vibe. Not to mention the elephants and the celebrations.nnVisit when you can, won't regret.

The temple is in our neighborhood and always stays serene and divine!
