AOLSTA, All Odisha Lower Secondary Teachers' Association was founded in the year 1957 by Late Banamali Brahmachari. Hence the AOLSTA Office building at Jhanjirimangala, Cuttack 753009 is named after him as 'Banamali Brahmachari Bhawan' ବନମାଳୀ ବ୍ରହ୍ମଚାରୀ ଭାବନ.nnAfter independence the need for basic education to children inspired many progressive persons in various parts of Odisha to set up Lower Secondary Schools in almost every village. But their salary, job security, service conditions etc were largely dependent upon the School Management run by Local Guardian and Eminent Persons. To address the issues of Salary, Job Security of teachers, Basic Facilities in schools, challenges in education policy, Syllabus etc the association has been rendering its service since inception. It has successfully played its role in bringing the plight of the teachers to the notice of the Govt from time to time. As a result Lower Secondary Teachers in Odisha are able to lead a life with dignity and financially independent.nnIt also publishes various books for Lower Secondary students to help them in their pursuit of knowledge. To prepare the students for examinations it also publishes guide books and Test Papers for decades.
