This model aquaculture pond is maintained by the Department of Zoology, Syed Ammal Arts & Science College, RAMANATHAPURAM. This pond is used to train the students on aquaculture techniques. Water quality is frequently analysed and replenished with fresh water. Mostly fresh water fishes like Catla, Rohu and Mrigal. Also catfish varieties are cultured alternatively.
