Mandi is known as Chhoti Kaashi where there are temples of practically all forms of Lord Shiva. Baba Maha Mritunjay Shiv Temple is one of oldest temples with architecture intact in original form. The temple is one of the rare temples where Lord Shiva is worshiped as Tryambaka, the three-eyed one. The idol of Shiva is installed in lotus posture in meditative contemplation with four arms. It is believed that worshiping Mahadeva at Mahamritunjya Temple will help to get rid of illness and get blessing for a healthy long life. There is no car parking there hence, you have to walk a little from main square. Let you driver drop you at square and then call him when you are done. If you have your own car, better park at distance and keep walking. Entry is free.
