Madhur temple road begins from Karandakkad junction, Kasaragod.  This junction comes in the Mangalore to Kanyakumari highway.  There are four Sunni Mosques on the left side and the first one of them is very photogenic.  There are many temples on the right hand side of the road but the ultimate attraction is the egg shaped Madhur temple on a riverbank.  There is a cute little shrine in the middle of a paddy field opposite the Karnataka Government Guest House.  The village has come into prominence because of the temple and there are many restaurants and fancy shops on the opposite side of the temple.
