Sree Mahadeva Temple

Ancient Shiva temple on top of the hill. Place is called Kalyanathandu. Temple is open everyday. Please maintain serenity of the place. Parking available on the hill top. Beware of the steep climbs while driving and be careful while walking on/climbing down the rocks. Temple is being renovated in April 2021.

A beautiful hilltop that creates a feeling of sitting on a peninsula. The temple is under construction and almost completed the main part. The construction is with sculptured stones which creates a mood of Bhakti.nnWe can see around almost in 360° including idukki water reservoir, Kattappana town and suburban places.nnEven in peak temperatures we won't feel it due to the cool air coming out of the reservoir passing through the hilltop.
