It took a long time for this temple to be built. Some mishaps occured during its initial construction and so the work was stalled. But then it got constructed and served as a place of togetherness for the entire locality. People used to arrive during many festivities such as Ganesh Chaturthi and Maha-Shivratri celebrations. Also, various snakes visit the smaller snake temple nearby, mostly in the wee hours.
