One of the best kept secrets of Morgan county.. As you drive in, you begin to relax, the soft breeze, the dark greens, and the smell of fresh earth will play with your senses. The only sound you hear is the birds chirping, and the bubbling sounds of the creek, next to the picturesque walking trails. Take a small hike to the majestic falls, that end in a crystal clear pool of cool refreshing water. You leave with sense of peace, and a feeling of reconnection. There are clean facilities, camp sites, picnic tables with grills, and under cover pavilions that can be rented. If you can, take the time to go, you will love it!

This park is one of our favorite places to camp and is perfect for a little summertime exploring, a nice picnic, some fun on the playground or playing in the creek. The staff do an amazing job keeping the park and bathrooms clean and they are friendly and informative. The trails are well maintained and there are some special things that make hiking here fascinating and fun. Be aware though there are copperheads so keep an eye out but DO NOT KILL these amazing animals that play a part in this ecosystem. Not only is it illegal in TN, but its just stupid. Ask a ranger if you have concerns; they are there to help.

Nice..never was crowded when I was there..good place to bring the dogs. Nice drive. Camping there..many picnic spots..nice scenery and a few small waterfalls. Great alternative to the Smoky mountains if you can't get there or it's a weekend when the Smokey's are too busy

A beautiful, out of the way place to get away and enjoy nature. The water was pretty low, this time of year, but was the perfect depth for kids to play and get wet. We did some hiking, as the weather was perfect and the many trails offer quite a variety of options for the young and the old to get out into the woods.

Frozen Head and nearby Obed Scenic and Wild river recreation area are spectacular jewels. Ranger station in Wartburg is a tremendous asset to visit. Make plans to visit center, it's awesome.
