This was our picnic spot coming and going on a recent trip to Kentucky. Lots of picnic tables, at the visitor's center and the picnic area. We easily found a cool, shady table. The visitor's center had a nice selection of souvenirs, snacks and historic and nature related books. The short movie was interesting as well.

This place is gorgeous. Convenient camper parking. Only downside is not having water hookup at your site. You have to fill your reserve at the entrance. Worth the drive!! Great walking trails.

Great little hike to go on with the family. Amazing view not going to post any pictures and spoil it for anyone. Also it is a non profit organization, there is a gift shop, small fridge for drinks, an exhibit, and restrooms. Id recommend going to the gift shop 1st then the walk/hike wear comfy shoes up hill and down hill.

This National Park seems to be a huge secret.nThe trails are not heavily traveled. We saw three people total on the trail to the sand cave and white cliffs.nMind you the trail climbs about 3,0000 ft, and was about 12 mile round trip, but it was a nice hike.nYou can also walk the Cumberland Gap Trail and stand in three states at once.nThis is not a National Park to miss.nSo much history walked these trails including Daniel Boone who helped make the trail.

Love going here. Looking down on Harrogate and Cumberland Gap is so peaceful. On Easter Sunday, to my surprise, it was not very crowded which made it all the more enjoyable! Of all the times we've been here, this was the 1st time we went to see the iron furnace. It's also short drive from Knoxville so we are able to go often.
