Henry Horton State Park

We can’t remember the host couple’s names, but their son is called Liam. They were the hardest working and friendly hosts we have seen in many years of camping.nThe husband cut many cords of firewood so that the campers could have free wood for their campfires. The bathrooms were spotless,the showers hot with good water pressure. Sites are paved and wide, some slightly sloping. The Riverside hiking trail was moderate and beautiful.nAll in all a most enjoyable campground.

I love this park! My kids love that they have more than one playground to play on. The cabins are beautiful. The park is beautiful. And I absolutely love this golf course. It is always kept up so pretty. And we love that we get to see deer & turkey while we play golf. And the staff has always been nice when we’ve been there.

Very nice State park. Cabins are well spaced for privacy , campsites are for the most part,as well. Primitive camp is secluded by far. Golf course is well maintained and visitor center/ camp shop has basic what you forgot/run out of. Didn't get to try restaurant as they are closed. Lodge/motel style both seem comfy . If looking for more privacy go with motel type/end unitnPlenty to see an do here.

Absolute gem of a state park. The Rangers do a super job of keeping it clean! I walked 3 of the trails today and found them so well maintained. I've never visited a park this well taken care of. Will be coming back to this park.
