Swedish Hill

I was at Swedish Hill first time, had an almond croissant and black tea. The croissant was amazing. For now, it is my first place almond croissant in Austin (if you know where else tasty almond croissant please let me know 😉). A friend of mine enjoyed avocado toast with salmon and, I think that’s was a cappuccino, in a very pretty glass. Both were very tasty. Unfortunately, we were here on a very windy day and weren’t be able to seat outside, wasn’t comfortable. The inside interior is super clean, bar countertop very stylish. The tiny thing which annoyed me - echo. It is a pretty big echo there and in the beginning, it was uncomfortable to talk. But that didn’t stop us, we talked. Was fun and tasty!

We tried the whole rotisserie chicken happy hour meal to go for $25. It came with rotisserie potatoes, one large side of choice, four rolls and a seasoned olive oil dipping sauce for the rolls. We tried the grilled asparagus side, which was the only thing we didn't like. It was cooked well but just wasn't our preferred flavor. Everything else was delicious. The chicken had a lot of flavor, as did the potatoes. The rolls were good, but the olive oil really made them great. We'd definitely get it again. We also sprung for the bottle of wine with 2 slices of cake add on, which was good but probably wouldn't do that again.

The service was great, the food even better. Tried the egg and bacon sandwich and it was easy in the top 3 I have ever had if not The best. Very nice inside and out. The coffee was delicious and they have a little bit of everything on the menu. Will be coming back for sure.

I'm a hard to please customer and this place is priced within the premium range but they surprised me. I was lucky to experience the most amazing BLT ever on planet earth. Even better than at Commissary in LA. Thank you SHB:)

We ordered the rotisserie chicken Happy Hour meal. This is the second time we have ordered it. It was tasty, EXCEPT the chicken had way too much salt!!! It was spicy and salty! The roasted potatoes were soaked in oil. I would love SH to make their dinners delicious and nutritious. No one needs that much sodium and fat!
