I have been going this place since childhood but a few weeks ago a disturbing incident happened with me when I went with my friends for cake cutting one of the fellow person came and stopped us from doing so giving an excuse that cake is not allowed inside the ghat.. If cigarette, alcohol and all sorts off snacks are allowed then why not a cake ? And who does that for a public place? And where the administrator is why they don't bother to stop such people? The urinals, the washed away water is flowing into Ganga they are not raising or doing anything for that but for unconcerned thing they are disturbing the people. It's a humble request please ask the local admin to have a look on this.

A devotional place on the bank of the Ganges river consisting twelve Shiva temples. A place where you can get any crowd of any age group. People come to enjoy the beauty of sunset and sunrise. Also devotees come here to pray and give their offerings to Lord Shiva. Many vendors selling different types of chaats, phuchkas, and ice creams make this place a crowd puller.

Baro Mandir established in 1821 on the weaster bank of the Ganges near Konnagar Ferry Ghat is beautiful creation. On the opposite of the river is Panihati Baromandir.. The Baro Mandir in Konnagar has its own brand of unique charm. In fact, countless visitors just can’t stop gushing about the place. In short, rest assure that a trip to Baro Mandir Konnagar will leave you with a lifetime of fond memories.
