Treebo Trend Hotel Nirvana

Dear traveller,nnI stayed at this hotel in April. Upon reaching the hotel in the evening, I was greeted in anticipation by the hotel staff. Manish the hotel manager was particularly concerned about my late arrival and made it known to me that he kept contacting me to ensure I was ok. This is truly a personal touch and made me feel safe and secure. The hotel is located on mall road which is a steep hill over looking the beautiful valley and Mount Kangchenjunga itself. All amenities are a short scenic walk away from the hotel. One sees the local people and tourists alike by the observatory hill which is right outside the hotel, on morning fitness rituals etc. Part of the local residents are also the macaque monkeys. Chowrasta square is a short walk away from this hotel where one can experience a whole host of experiences.nnMy room was cosy with windows overlooking the valley and mountains. This was truly stunning!!! I would request Manish to look into the cable tv facilities and fix any shortcomings regarding this. The bed was comfortable with heating builtin for extra warmth on cold nights. Some downsides to staying anywhere in Darjeeling is the constant cry of the numerous dogs, which is relentless all through the night. It would be very beneficial if hotels considered double glazing windows to block the barking sound. Also please be aware that certain hotels on the end he of the hills are prone to monkeys invading rooms and other areas. An official warning sign somewhere in the room will make guests more weary of this.nnThe food at this hotel was absolutely top class. Full of flavour, freshly made and very tasty with an extremely reasonable price tag. The staff at Hotel Nirvana are true professionals and made me feel welcomed and cared for my every need. Especially Manish Lama who ensured everything was up to expectations from the guest.nnI highly recommend this hotel to anyone that is seeking the best of of everything, location, comfort, hospitality and more importantly to have a great time. This hotel will be the only place I stay in if I visit Darjeeling again.
