The first Surya temple I visited. Most of the idiots don't understand it's importance or how it came to be. Hindus are going a steep downhill...new generation thinks Hanuman and Bheem are cartoon characters and pinaka is sree Narayana guru's WEAPON (yes this happened to me once), let alone understand what Advaita is.

It is understood that the only Surya temple in Kerala is at Adithyapuram in Kottayam dt. This temple will open for daily poojas at 5am to 12 noon and from 5.30pm to 8pm in the evening. This temple is situated near to Malliyoor Ganapathy temple in Kuruppanthara and Mahadeva temple in Kaduthuruthy. Those who are affected with incurable disease in the body with the curse and obstacles from Surya deva should visit and offer Almug (Raktha chandanam) to the deity. Durga devi is also here for blessings. Calm and pleasant atmosphere and should visit once in life time.
