Northern Waters Casino Resort

One of the the few casinos not completely locking down. Restaurant and Sports Bar still open. Waiting staff limited, just order at the bar. Food was Good. The other food venue was open for Pizza and Sandwich, wraps and Coffee. Pretty busy, so opted to eat at the bar. They are not really big on drink specials, prices little high for a casino bar. $5 for a draft beer was something you'll expect from a Big City high end bar, not in the U.P. So was a little surprised on that. Hotel is dated, but clean and staff is very nice and welcoming. Pool and Jacuzzi closed :-( Slot play was better than expected. Especially in this day and age of most casinos having been known for extremely tight machines, this place seemed to leave most of the slots I played pretty balanced and gameplay was much more entertaining.

I come up here once a year astound my Birthday to see the fall colors and to photograph Bond Falls. This is a great little casino, have on display a dug out canoe art least 50 ferry feet in length. When you want to get away this is a great pace to stay.

Right now is not the best time to visit casinos because of restrictions, but its still fun. Casino was a little disappointing with few machines to choose from, and payouts seemed small and didn't seem widespread. Hotel was nice enough and very reasonable for a weekend getaway. Not bad, overall.
