Iputhou Naothingkhong Pakhangba

Located at Thangmeiband Hijam Leikai, Imphal, it is an old temple of Iputhou Naothingkhong Pakhangba ,a sacred place of worship for the Meiteis, with a multipurpose hall attached. The traditional festival of Lai Haraoba is held here every year with full of religious fervour. In Lai Haraoba festival people not only take part in the religious rituals for worshipping the Lord but also participate in many competitions like cultural dances, Thang Ta (sword and spear fighting competition) and Mukta,a Manipuri style of ud83eudd3c wrestling,and many more events. It also teaches an unique way of religious life to the youngsters. Usually, the festival of Lai Haraoba is held at every Umang Lai Khupham , shrines, in Manipur during the period from March to July every year.
